While growing up, my life was conforming to what others expected of me or what the system programmed me to do. I chose my studies and my career based on these elements, even though I always felt that I was different and that I am meant to make a positive impact in my world.

After becoming a mother of two amazing boys, I started changing and opening up. I changed my career from engineering to education. I studied the Montessori philosophy and worked for two years in this field. The year 2020 was a big wakeup call for me, I came to change my perceptions about everything around me. I started seeing the truth behind a lot of people and systems that I considered as great. One of the most important perceptions that I changed during this year was the one about education. I started learning about the history of education and finding out a lot of opportunities and possibilities outside of the traditional education system. I started homeschooling my children with the help of Galileo, a self-directed education platform.

In this blog, I would like to share with you some of my experiences being out of the system. My aim is to inspire you and help you discover that this journey is possible and that it is a process, we cannot get it right from the beginning. The idea is to always learn from our mistakes and adapt accordingly.
